Patrol Boxes
Last night, Explorers and Scouts came together to build their own patrol boxes! This engaging activity not only fostered teamwork and creativity but also equipped scouts with essential woodworking skills and enhanced their outdoor preparedness.
12th Gateshead Explorers
Welcome to Explorers!
Our programme:
Information about our programme is coming soon.
Who are Explorers?
Explorers are a go-getting group of young people aged 14 to 18 who:
- Master new skills and try new things
- Make new friends
- Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
- Explore the world around them
- Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond
Week in and week out, they gather in groups called Explorer Troops to conquer the small task of changing the world.
Explorers are split into smaller groups called patrols, which are lead by the patrol leader.
The scout promise
Most people will use this promise:
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best
to do my duty to God and to The King,
to help other people
and to keep the Scout Law.
Those who are not religious may choose this promise:
On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best
to uphold our Scout values, to do my duty to The King,
to help other people
and to keep the Scout Law.
The scout law:
1. A Scout is to be trusted.
2. A Scout is loyal.
3. A Scout is friendly and considerate.
4. A Scout belongs to the worldwide family of Scouts.
5. A Scout has courage in all difficulties.
6. A Scout makes good use of time and is careful of possessions and property.
7. A Scout has self-respect and respect for others
