Today at cubs, the young people learnt about how and why people feel down sometimes, and what we can do to support each other.
The young people game some fantastic answers to some questions about bullying, feeling left out and supporting their friends and family.
Here’s some pictures of the cub-scouts working at their tables in their sixes:

We finished off with a big game of dodgeball against the beavers, and then played a new game called ‘mount/dismount’ which was a lot of fun.
Next week we’re going on a night hike, please see below for the letter and the consent form for allowing young people to leave HQ during our meeting nights. If the young person is not on record for being allowed to leave HQ, they will need to send in the letter allowing us to do this (I’ve sent an email to the corresponding parents).
We’ll be going around Whickham and Washingwell woods. Please send in your child with a torch and (not essential) walking boots if they have them. A drink of water may also be a good idea.
The above is the night hike information letter.
The above is the permission to leave HQ form.
The above is a letter about an upcoming bag-pack that we ask your child attends for an hour.
