We have had a fantastic time on Group Camp this weekend at Dilston in Northumberland. Friday may have been a bit of a washout (The Explorers found out that when a tent leaks you don’t really want to sleep in it), but we didn’t let that spoil anything.
From firelighting, to string trails, to walks into Hexham and Corbridge, it’s been a lovely weekend of traditional scouting activities and spending time with friends old and new.
We also had some of new Beavers and Cubs come and join us for the day so they could see firsthand what camping is all about.
A massive thank you in particular to the Explorers who have done an amazing job with feeding everyone and getting camp packed up so quickly on Sunday. And to all the parents and our amazing Young People for everything you have done to help make the weekend a huge success.
